Tiny and Mighty.
The Hummingbird 2.5” is WingSmith’s smallest complete FPV platform — compact, lightweight, responsive, and built to deliver real digital FPV performance in a sub-250g package.
Built on the Quadmula Djinn F25 SP frame, the Hummingbird is designed for pilots who want agility, portability, and premium components without the frustration of sourcing, assembling, configuring, and tuning a drone from scratch.
Every Hummingbird is professionally assembled, configured, tuned, inspected, and tested by WingSmith Drones in Saskatchewan before it leaves our shop.
Small doesn’t mean disposable. The Hummingbird is built from real, individually replaceable FPV components so it can be repaired, maintained, and upgraded throughout its life.

Performance
Tested Cruising Flight Time: 6–8 Minutes
WingSmith Hummingbird builds have achieved approximately 6–8 minutes of cruising flight during real-world testing.
Flight time on an FPV drone is not a fixed number. Power consumption can change significantly depending on how and where the aircraft is flown.
Actual flight time may vary based on:
- Flying style and throttle use
- Aggressive freestyle versus relaxed cruising
- Wind and weather conditions
- Ambient temperature
- Battery age, condition, and capacity
- Added payload or accessories
- Propeller selection
- Aircraft configuration
Our published 6–8 minute range represents observed cruising performance and is not a guaranteed flight duration. Aggressive freestyle, repeated punch-outs, racing, or sustained high-throttle flight will generally reduce flight time.
Lightweight by Design
A completed Hummingbird has been measured at:
174.00 g — Dry aircraft
234.73 g — With 650mAh battery
241.95 g — With 750mAh battery
That gives pilots room to choose between battery size, flight characteristics, and duration while retaining a lightweight platform.
For pilots specifically trying to remain below a regulatory weight threshold, always consider the weight of the complete aircraft as flown, including the battery and any additional accessories or payload.
Upgrade Options
Want to take your Hummingbird further? The platform can be configured with a range of upgrades depending on your equipment, priorities, and flying style.
Video System
Upgrade your digital FPV system for additional recording or transmission capabilities.
Available options may include the DJI O4 Pro Air Unit and other compatible O4-based configurations.
Goggles
Upgrade from the standard DJI Goggles N3 to DJI Goggles 3 for a more premium viewing experience and additional features.
Controller
Upgrade from the standard RadioMaster Pocket Crush to the RadioMaster TX15 MAX for upgraded gimbals, additional controls, a larger interface, and a more advanced radio platform.
Electronics
Alternative flight-stack configurations may be available for pilots looking for additional processing capability, connectivity, or future expansion.
Batteries
The standard Hummingbird Kit includes 650mAh batteries, but compatible battery options can be selected depending on your preferred balance of aircraft weight, flight characteristics, and duration.
Additional Options
Depending on your selected configuration, options may also include:
- GPS
- Additional batteries
- Spare propellers
- Replacement TPU parts
- Spare arms and frame components
- Alternative 3D-printed colour options
- Additional maintenance and repair parts
Not sure what actually makes sense for your build? Ask us. We would rather help you choose a useful upgrade than sell you something you don’t need.
What Makes the Hummingbird Different
Small Without Being Toy-Grade
The Hummingbird may be compact, but it uses genuine, individually replaceable FPV components rather than proprietary disposable electronics.
Motors, electronics, frame components, props, video hardware, antennas, TPU parts, and other components can be repaired or replaced as needed.
Sub-250g Capability
Our tested Hummingbird configurations remain below 250 g with both the 650mAh and 750mAh batteries tested, giving pilots a highly capable digital FPV platform while keeping overall aircraft mass low.
Actual regulatory requirements depend on where and how you fly, and the pilot is always responsible for confirming the rules that apply to their final aircraft configuration and location.
Built for Progression
The Hummingbird is approachable enough to make sense as a first serious FPV aircraft while remaining agile and responsive enough to stay fun as your skills improve.
Learn on it. Crash it. Repair it. Upgrade it. Keep flying it.
Easy to Bring Along
The 2.5” format makes the Hummingbird dramatically easier to transport than a traditional 5” FPV platform.
It’s the kind of drone you can throw into your gear bag when you want to fly without turning the entire outing into a production.
Professionally Built and Tuned
A WingSmith drone isn’t simply a collection of components.
Every Hummingbird is:
- Professionally assembled
- Cleanly wired
- Configured for its selected components
- Tuned to provide a solid starting point
- Inspected before shipment
- Functionally tested
- Built with future maintenance and repairs in mind
We do the frustrating part so you can concentrate on learning to fly.
Support & Repair
FPV drones crash.
We don’t pretend they don’t — we build them knowing that they will.

Prefer to send it back to us? We can take care of it.
Break It. Repair It. Upgrade It. Fly Again.
FPV isn’t about owning a drone that never gets damaged.
It’s about owning one you can keep flying.
Forged for Flight.
About Our Performance Figures
WingSmith performance figures are based on real-world testing of completed WingSmith-built aircraft.
FPV flight time cannot be represented by one guaranteed number because energy consumption changes significantly with throttle use, flying style, battery condition, payload, propeller selection, temperature, wind, and aircraft configuration.
Published flight-time ranges represent our observed cruising performance under suitable conditions. Aggressive freestyle, racing, repeated punch-outs, or sustained high-throttle flight will generally result in shorter flight times.
