Falcon 5” FPV Drone
More power. More presence. Built for pilots who already know what they want.
The Falcon is our full-size 5” WingSmith build, made for pilots who want a serious FPV drone without having to build it from scratch.
This is the drone-only version, which means it’s designed for people who already have some of their gear sorted — goggles, controller, charger, batteries, tools, or all of the above — and just want the aircraft itself, professionally built and ready to connect with their setup.
Every Falcon is assembled, checked, and tuned by WingSmith Drones here in Saskatchewan. No mystery wiring. No rushed build. No guessing whether a pile of parts will actually work together once everything shows up.
Just a clean, powerful FPV build made to fly.
Who This Is For
This option is probably not for someone starting from absolute zero.
If you’re brand new to FPV and still need goggles, a controller, charger, batteries, simulator access, tools, and guided onboarding, the full Falcon Kit is the better place to start.
This drone-only version is for pilots who already have gear and want to add a capable 5” aircraft to their lineup.
It’s a good fit if you:
Already own compatible FPV goggles and a controller
Want a professionally built 5” drone without buying a full kit
Prefer choosing your own charger, batteries, and accessories
Want a larger, more powerful aircraft than a compact 2.5” or 3.5” build
Are upgrading from a smaller drone or older FPV setup
Want something with more authority, speed, and outdoor capability
Know your setup well enough to choose the right configuration
Don’t want to spend a weekend soldering, troubleshooting, and tuning
Basically: if you already know what goggles, radio, batteries, and charger you’re using — and you want a proper 5” FPV drone built cleanly — this is probably the one you’re looking for.
Why We Built It
Some pilots don’t need a beginner bundle every time they buy a drone.
You might already have your radio dialed in. You might already have DJI goggles. You might already have batteries, a charger, tools, and a setup that works for how you fly.
In that case, buying another full kit doesn’t really make sense.
The Falcon gives you the WingSmith build quality and support, without forcing you to rebuy the gear you already own.
It’s our larger, more powerful platform — built for pilots who want a serious aircraft, but still want it assembled, configured, checked, and supported by real people.
Full-Size FPV Without the Full Build Project
The Falcon is built around a 5” platform, which gives it a very different feel from our smaller drones.
This is not the tiny “throw it in a backpack and fly anywhere” option. The Falcon has more size, more power, and more presence in the air.
Expect a flight feel that is:
Fast and responsive
More powerful than smaller platforms
Better suited for open outdoor spaces
More confident in wind than smaller builds
Capable of aggressive flying when configured appropriately
A strong choice for pilots who want a real 5” FPV experience
It’s the kind of drone you choose when you want something that feels planted, capable, and ready for more serious flying.
Built by WingSmith, Not Pulled From a Parts Bin
Every Falcon is built with care by our team using components selected for compatibility, performance, and serviceability.
Before it leaves us, we go through the build so it’s not just assembled — it’s actually checked.
Each drone is:
Professionally assembled
Wired cleanly
Configured for the selected components
Tuned for a smooth starting point
Inspected before shipping
Tested whenever conditions allow
Built with future repairs in mind
FPV drones crash. That’s part of the hobby.
We build knowing that frames, arms, props, motors, antennas, and other components may need to be repaired or replaced over time. The goal is not to build a drone that looks good on a shelf. The goal is to build something you can actually fly, repair, maintain, and keep using.
Digital FPV Without the Guesswork
The Falcon is available with modern digital video options, depending on your selected configuration.
That means you can choose the setup that best fits your goggles, budget, and flying style instead of being locked into one version.
Depending on the build option selected, your Falcon may be configured with a DJI O4-based video system. DJI’s O4 Air Unit series is designed around improved digital video transmission, lower latency, and onboard 4K recording capability, with exact features depending on the O4 unit used.
For customers, the important part is simple:
choose the video system that matches the gear you actually fly.
A Bigger Platform With More Capability
The Falcon is our full-size 5” option, which means it is built for pilots who want more performance than a compact build can realistically offer.
Compared to our smaller drones, the Falcon gives you:
More power
More speed potential
More stability outdoors
More presence in wind
More room for higher-performance components
A more traditional 5” FPV flying experience
This is the aircraft for pilots who want something more serious than a micro or compact park flyer.
It is also important to know that the Falcon is not a sub-250g drone. Final weight depends on selected components, battery choice, and accessories, but the Falcon should be treated as a larger FPV aircraft that may fall under additional local rules or registration requirements depending on where you fly.
Please check your local regulations before flying.
Customize the Build
This version gives you flexibility without turning the order process into a research project.
Available options may include:
| Option | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Video system | Choose the digital video setup that fits your goggles and budget |
| Receiver/control link | Match the drone to your controller setup |
| Frame option | Choose the build style that best fits your flying goals |
| Flight stack | Select the electronics package where upgrade options are available |
| 3D-printed part colour | Add a personal touch to the build |
| Batteries | Add compatible packs if you need them |
| Charger | Add one only if you do not already have a compatible charger |
| Spare parts | Add useful extras for repairs and maintenance |
We’ll keep the options practical. No fake “customization” just for the sake of it — only choices that actually matter to the build or your setup.
Frame and Performance Options
Depending on availability and selected configuration, the Falcon may be offered with different frame or electronics options.
Some pilots may want a solid standard 5” build that feels familiar, durable, and capable.
Others may want a more responsive, locked-in setup with upgraded frame or stack options for more advanced flying.
| Build Style | Best For |
|---|---|
| Standard Falcon configuration | Pilots who want a clean, capable 5” FPV drone |
| Upgraded frame option | Pilots who want a more responsive, locked-in feel |
| Upgraded flight stack option | Pilots looking for higher-end electronics where available |
| Digital video upgrade | Pilots who want higher-end video features and image quality |
If you’re not sure which configuration makes sense for you, send us a message before ordering. We would rather help you choose the right setup than have you pay for upgrades you don’t actually need.

Falcon Drone-Only vs Full Kit
| Choose the Falcon Drone-Only if… | Choose the full Falcon Kit if… |
|---|---|
| You already have goggles | You are brand new to FPV |
| You already have a controller | You need everything in one box |
| You have batteries and a charger | You want simulator access included |
| You know your preferred setup | You want guided onboarding |
| You want just the aircraft | You want the easiest complete package |
| You’re adding another drone to your fleet | You don’t want to figure out compatibility alone |
| You want a serious 5” platform | You want the full WingSmith starter experience |
The drone itself is built with the same care either way. The difference is how much gear and support you need around it.
Best For
| Pilot Type | Why It Works |
|---|---|
| Existing DJI FPV pilots | Add a powerful 5” custom-style build to your setup |
| Pilots with their own radio/goggles | Skip the full kit and use the gear you already trust |
| Pilots moving up from smaller drones | More power, speed, and outdoor authority |
| Freestyle-focused pilots | A larger platform with more punch and room to grow |
| Tinkerers who don’t want a full build project | Get a clean aircraft without starting from bare parts |
| Returning FPV pilots | Modernize your setup without buying everything again |
| Pilots who want a serious outdoor aircraft | More capable than compact beginner-focused platforms |
A Note on Compatibility
FPV compatibility can get weird fast.
Goggles, controllers, receivers, video systems, firmware, batteries, connectors, chargers, and even mounting options all need to line up. Some gear works together easily. Some does not.
Before ordering, please make sure your existing equipment matches the configuration you choose. If you’re unsure, reach out with what you currently have and we’ll help point you in the right direction.
No judgment. FPV has enough acronyms to make anyone’s head hurt.
A Note on Size, Weight, and Responsibility
The Falcon is a larger FPV drone and should be treated with respect.
A 5” build has more power than a smaller beginner drone. It needs more space, more awareness, and a safe place to fly. It is not something we would recommend flying in tight spaces, near people, or anywhere you are not fully comfortable and legally allowed to operate.
This is part of why we offer the Falcon as both a full kit and a drone-only option.
The drone-only version is best for pilots who already understand the basics and have the right equipment, charging setup, and flying environment.
Built in Canada. Supported by Real People.
WingSmith Drones is based in Saskatchewan, and every drone we sell is backed by people you can actually talk to.
We’re not trying to be the biggest drone company in the world. We’re trying to build clean, reliable FPV drones and help more people enjoy flying without getting buried in confusion.
The Falcon gets the full WingSmith treatment: thoughtful parts, clean assembly, practical support, and a build we’re proud to put our name on.
It’s bigger, faster, and more powerful than our smaller platforms.
It’s built for pilots who want a real 5” FPV drone — without the headache of starting from scratch.
